WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU WALK INTO THE CHURCH AT DUBlin, Ga

  1. The first thing someone will notice is the friendly greeting by Christians that love God and their fellow man.
  2. There are no creed books, we only use the Bible, Gods verbal plenary inspired word as our means of authority for everything we do. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Tim. 3:16)
  3. Everything that is preached will be backed with scripture, and everyone is encouraged to study as the noble Bereans did. " And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so" (Acts 17:10-11).
  4. The Church of Christ strives hard to maintain the practices of the first century church, the same church which Jesus Christ said He would build in Matthew 16, and which He bled and died for.
  5. A person is added to the church (body of Christ) when he or she is baptized (immersed in water) for the remission of sin (Acts 2:38; I Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:11-16, 5:22-23; Colossians 1:18, 1 Peter 3:21).
  6. We believe in the celebration of the Lord's Supper (Communion) every Sunday, (Acts 20:7).
  7. No instruments are used as we do as instructed, "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord" (Ephesians 5:19).
